Experience the charm of a bygone era with this exquisite antique Victoria Austria cup and saucer set, titled "After The Days Work". Crafted between 1900-1919, the set showcases a lovely landscape pattern depicting a farming scene with horses, reflective of the Edwardian period's aesthetic. The brown hues and intricate design evoke the feeling of a serene countryside, making it a delightful addition to any collection. The porcelain pieces, originating from Austria, boast decorative art pottery techniques that highlight their historical value and craftsmanship. Measuring 7cm in height for the cup and 12cm in width for the saucer, this set exemplifies the decorative style of the time and is a testament to the era's production techniques. A piece from the "After The Days Work" product line, it's a true gem for enthusiasts and collectors alike. A lovely little cup & saucer set with much age. I’ve had it on display on my bookshelf & it has stood out as a talking piece. It’s tactile & interesting to handle to view the around the cup picture which tells a story of the landscape the farmer & horses traverse. I’ve only ever displayed them but they have been used over the years due to the wear seen on both items. The marks on the bottom are ineligible & only with researching the theme have I found this pattern on other porcelain items by Victoria, Austria. There is a chip on the saucer. The cup is worn around the rim from use & feels unglazed/rough - please see photos. They are a beautiful antique mug & saucer set.
