Here is a great item for a collector. It is a sporting medal, awarded for first place in hammer throwing, it was presented to a member of the RAF 2871 Squadron Regiment, they were a rifle squadron attached to the RAF who were based at the air bade at Melsbroek in Belgium from October 1944 to December 1945 and were part of the liberation. I have not attempted to clean this medal, but I think it would clean up very nice if desired.
