Opening: 25.5 in./65cm Brim: 3.5 in./8,9cm Height: 4 in./10cm John Bull Hat was first seen at Vivienne Westwood's 'Harris Tweed' collection of Autumn / Winter 1987-88. Westwood was inspired by English tailoring and cutting for this collection, which included a number of notable hats such as a crown made from Harris tweed and this hat entitled 'John Bull'. Westwood has exaggerated the proportions of this hat and the inside of the crown contains a patterned padded band in order to avoid the hat slipping down over the wearer's face. It was designed to be worn with both menswear and womenswear pieces.
