Tribu Perfume by Benetton, Tribu is a women’s floral fragrance featuring additional woody, aromatic, earthy, fruity and herbal accords. Released in 1993, it was the work of expert nose Bernard Ellena, a perfumer who’s created other top scents for brands such as Espirit, Guess and Jil Sander. Its top notes start to weave magic with their blend of Italian violet leaf, black currant and mandarin orange. The heart is crafted from a floral mixture that brings together jasmine, rose, geranium, ylang-ylang and chamomile. Soft, sensual tones come from a base containing sandalwood, vetiver, oakmoss and benzoin.Benetton is best known for its colorful and provocative ad campaigns, but the brand’s been going strong with its ready-to-wear fashions since its genesis in 1966. The family-owned label debuted its first fragrance in 1987, released a total of 65 scents over a 30-year span. The company has relied on top talent such as Annick Menardo, Alain Astori and Sonia Constant to craft each of its perfumes.
