Custom House No. 308 Fireflies & Lilypads 28" x 14" Stained Glass Transom Window

One of a kind & commissioned in 2004, this stained glass transom window was handcrafted by an artist from the mountains of North Carolina specifically for my Victorian rowhouse in Baltimore. Unfortunately, the person who measured my transom frame didn’t do it correctly, so the piece never fit, so it has been sitting on my fireplace mantel for nearly 20 years.  
The window was intended to hang in the transom frame above my front door, which is why the house number 308 is painted at the bottom center. Interestingly, the house number was painted into the scene—not exactly what I requested, but it might actually be a plus since it looks like acrylic paint that could be removed. This could also broaden potential buyers for this beautiful window featuring a water scene with three fireflies dancing among blossomed lily pads and cattails. It measures 28" wide by 14" tall.
