Extremely rare American Girl reversible jean vest with coordinating tie-back bow clip. Part of the 1995 Dress Like Your Doll Mix and Match Outfit that was produced in extremely limited quantities. Purchased at the American girl warehouse sale in Madison, WI.
One side is denim with plaid buttons and trim with one plaid-trimmed faux pocket. The other is magenta with the American girl of today logo pattern all over and the AGoT logo patch at the top of the back. Coordinating plaid bow clip can be positioned on either side.
The outfit was first released in November 1994, as part of the American Girl Gear brand.
In attempting to price this, I tried to find another one and can’t find a single other girl-size vest that is currently or was previously for sale. I would encourage you to look for one as well—they simply can’t be found, hence the price.
I don’t recall ever wearing it as a child. It is in great condition.
