This antique covered butter dish was made by Indiana Tumbler and Goblet Co, located in Greentown, Indiana aka Greentown Glass 1894-1903 . Admiral Dewey aka Ruffled Eye aka Flower Flange is one of the popular Greentown glass patterns. This pattern was produced c. 1898 and is an authentic Dewey Indiana piece. Not a reproduction. This piece is the smaller butter size in a beautiful forest green. It measures 5" across overall, and the inside dish 3 3/4" in diameter. 4 1/2" tall. Very good preowned condition with only a few fleabites to inside base rim, fleabites to one foot and drape next to it. The lid is excellent with only a teeny tiny fleabite on the finial. Not sure if it is a fleabite. The lid and base are a set and not been married. Although looking at the photos when the 2 pieces are separate, the greens look different. But I took it out in the sun, and they do match and are the same color. Weight 1 lb.
