Before creating his own cards, Luis Diaz was an artist for Topps' official Garbage Pail Kids cards in the "All New Series" from 2003 to 2007. After leaving Topps, Diaz launched his own project, creating the Gavage Parody Kids set. This line is widely sought after by collectors.
In 2019, Topps filed a lawsuit against Diaz for his parody cards, claiming copyright infringement. The case was settled, and Diaz is no longer allowed to create the Gavage Parody Kids or Garbage Parody Kids cards. Many of the cards released by Diaz were high-quality, hand-signed, limited-edition pieces sold directly by the artist.
