THIS IS I WOULD SAY ONE OF THE NICEST PIECES OF GLASS I HAVE EVER GOT MY HANDS ON AND I HAVE A LOT OF VARIETY!! THE TECHNIQUE THE DESIGN THE COLORS HOW HEFTY IT IS IT'S JUST ONE OF THE NICEST PIECES I'VE EVER LAID MY EYES ON. THIS PIECE IS BULKY AND IT WEIGHS 2.5 LB THAT IS PRETTY LARGE AND THICK GLASS. HAS AMAZING PATTERN WITH VERY INTRICATE DETAIL AND DESIGN ALONG WITH SAWTOOTH EDGE BASE AND TOP BASE. THIS IS THE COOLEST PATTERN COMIT IN THE STARS
ORIGINAL FORMULA GLASS**
One of the Original Formula items made by Fenton when they 1st got back into Carnival Glass. This is a #8227 CN, PINWHEEL Compote in Amethyst Carnival Glass. The top is what I call a mirror finish and the exterior is a multi-color, an oil on water look.
This is signed Fenton. This is an old US Glass pattern #15150, Comet in the Stars. I do not know if this is a USG mold or a new one made by Fenton.
Circa 1971.
