VTG 1930s Framed Photo Black Destiny Dilapidated Wood House Fence Car Arkansas. This photo is listed in the Library of Congress at https://www.loc.gov/item/91729127/. That page says the library has print that was created in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1937 and is titled "Black Destiny." It does not give the photographer's name. It features a ramshackle log cabin home with a tin roof and a hole in chimney with a rickety fence surrounding the dirt yard. Note the early automobile with wooden wheels, perhaps a 1917 Ford. There also appears to be a child in the doorway. Given the title, it may be a photograph of a former slave home.
This appears to be a contemporary print of the photograph, with a 1930s style frame, wire hanger, and old backing paper that is coming off in some places, but I do not have any history on the piece.
Vintage framed photo under glass. About 18" x 15 1/4". Silvering visible at some angles, and there may be an old fold across the chimney.
