Rare Signed Clyde Butcher Early
1970's Color Photo of Aspen Trees. I was advised by The Clyde Butcher Gallery it could be from Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. Mounted in a vintage brass frame. Signed lower left of photo with pencil and lower right on the mat in pencil. Stamped on back from Fort Myers, Florida studio. Measures 24" x 14" framed and approximately 17" x 14" view of inside matting. Brass does have some scratches.

In the early '70s, Clyde began selling his photos as decor to major department stores nationwide.
“However, color photography in the 1970s was taking off, and so I decided to start photographing in color so my images could match the avocado green shag carpets and gold couches of the time.”
