Sometime in the early 00s the fabric was purchased by the yard in NYC's fashion district by my meticulous father.
He got several yards of different colors and weaves of the highest quality suit silk offered and he brought it all to his tailor on his next trip to Shanghai. Tailor Zhu sewed multiple bespoke silk suits for my father that would mix and match to last for decades with proper care.
