The Van Briggle Art Pottery was established in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1901 by Artus and Anne Van Briggle. Artus had a significant impact on the Art Nouveau movement in the United States, and his pottery is foundational to American Art Pottery.
This is a stunning piece of Van Briggle pottery. It is an oak leaf bowl in a blue matte glaze. It is marked with the incised Van Briggle mark, the words Van Briggle and Colo Spgs.
It measures about 6 inches by 4 inches and it is about 3 1/2 inches tall. It is in excellent condition with no chips or other damage.
