VINTAGE 1988 STONEWARE CLAY POTTERY SET: CREAMER PICTURE, SUGAR BOWL WITH LID & MUG. EACH HOLDS ALMOST 2 CUPS. 5" TALL, 3.5" ACROSS NOT INCLUDING HANDLE.
As you turn the stoneware each piece has scenes from same farm.....Beautiful Art Work by Barbara Bates Nashville TN. NO CHIPS.
All the country scenes are carved at random and free hand using sgraffito. The carving is done after the piece is built or thrown. After firing, the piece is shaded and colored slips are applied. This is stoneware clay, so a second firing is done to 2300 degrees. This makes all pieces Dishwasher and Microwave safe.
