This isn’t just a tree—it’s a daydream in wool. Forest Daydream brings nature to life in bold, joyful strokes, with textured bark in radiant hues.

What makes this piece extra special is the natural wool background, which still carries tiny, dry bits of embedded grass from the original fleece. It gives the backdrop a touch of rustic charm—a slightly rough, organic feel that connects you right back to the earth it came from. It’s real, raw, and completely one-of-a-kind.
To create this piece, I used a combination of wet felting (where warm soapy water and gentle pressure fuse wool fibers into a strong base) and needle felting (a careful sculpting technique using a special barbed needle to shape details). I also added a touch of silk fibers, giving the bark a soft shimmer when the light catches it.
