Highly sought after Sunset Stitchery SANTA'S HERE Christmas stocking. This stocking was lovingly made by PZ in 1979 (signed and dated on the stocking).
This stocking is richly detailed, featuring Santa filled with soot after coming down the chimney. He clutches his bag of goodies under a group of stocking. His his beard and the trim of his suit are loopy and "smudged" with soot, an added touch by the fiber artist.
Does Santa have a hole in his boot??
Designed by Charlene Gerrish. With a twinkle in his eye, this jolly Santa welcomes the holiday season.
In very good vintage condition (43 years old!) and ready to become a part of your treasured, heirloom Christmas collection. There are small needle holes at the top where the stocking may have been personalized. Slight red area from yarn. See last 3 phtos.
Measures about 18" diagonally, 13" high, 10.5" along the foot.
