first half 20th century, decorated with pots of chrysanthemums mounted on elaborate saddles, carried by deer, raised on octagonal base, all painted cinnabar red and trimmed in gilt, set with pictures painted on fabric, framed in gilt and covered with gilt, with molded Chinese character marks on the bottoms.
Condition: **Handsome item in as-found condition. Presents well. Oxidation, surface scratches, rubbing and losses throughout. A few places where weld is slightly loose as pictured. Structurally sound.
