Silver Plated Midcentury Food Warmer/Fondue Maker 1960's Made in Italy

1960’s hardly used Italian made and Designed Food Warmer or Fondue Maker. This was acquired in the 1960’s from a private sale at the Gstaad Palace Hotel from the Resort Hotel in Gstaad, Switzerland in the Swiss Alps. This 5 piece silver plated Made in Italy set was collected, not used. Even the wick in the alcohol burner is unused. Probably the Gstaad Palace utilized this “Swiss Fondue Maker” (keeping heated molten cheese hot for traditional “Swiss Fondue”), but retired it in the late 1960’s and put in a clean, new wick. Total weight is a little over 5 lbs, dimensions are 12” length handle to handle, 9” diameter of dishes (with 3” depth to the inner dish and 2.5” depth to the outer dish). The Swiss put water inside the inner dish to mediate the heat from the flame burner below, giving the Fondue Cheese a consistent heat level and protecting the silver plate from burn marks. Height of this Fondue Pot is 8.25”. This portable Fondue Pot is great for outdoor dining (social distancing).
