The Kamba tribe of Kenya are known for their hand-carved olive wood and cow bone items. The Kamba are a community of skilled craftsmen who work with a variety of materials. Wood carving is a part of their spirituality. The dishes are adorned with inlaid pieces of dyed cow bone. The bone is sanitized and each dish has a unique pattern.
