Original Victorian chromolithograph school reward card dated June 1886.

The beautifully detailed front illustration depicts a farming scene titled "Ploughing" (Le Labourage), showing a farmer with a horse-drawn plough working the land at sunset, while two children walk nearby with a seed basket. The image is signed "J. Ferat pinxt" and printed by "E. Fraillery imp" for "Hachette et Cie," a prominent French publisher known for educational and illustrated works.

The reverse side is a School Board for London attendance award, presented to "Geo: Gliddens" at the Worthington Road School, for punctual and regular attendance during the quarter ending June 1886, signed by headmaster T. Harris. There is also a printed educational passage explaining ploughing and its importance in agriculture.

Condition:

Fair condition overall, with significant edge wear, paper loss (especially lower edge), and toning.

Back shows strong writing and stamps, despite wear.
