Imari porcelains are a Japanese ceramic tradition that is unique from all other ceramic traditions worldwide, its elegance and detail driving high demand from collectors, museums, and art dealers. The tradition dates back hundreds of years and still endures today, with master craftsmen continuing to produce some of the finest ceramics in the world.

This tea set was hand-made and hand-painted, the design being unique to this one-of-a-kind set. It came to me already pre-owned, so I do not know its age or if it has been used as a tea service or simply held as a display piece, although I have not seen any signs of use. It is in great condition, without any chips along the edges or the spout.
