I very good antique condition.
From my 93 year old mother's collection of rare & vintage fine jewelry.
This piece was in her oldest jewelry box from the 1940's, when she was in her teens.
I remember seeing this when I was a child in the 60's, and both sisters getting in trouble for playing in that box. Handed down from my Grandmother who was born in 1892. I'm not sure if this was handed down to her, and from the Victorian era. Exact age is not known.
The piece was very tarnished. I had this professionally cleaned. The results are amazing ! No scratches on the hand painted porcelain. The reverse has a glass face slip cover to hold a lock of hair.
