Sewing junk journal

When I was a little girl my mother made all of my clothes from school outfits to the frilly dresses for Christmas and Easter. It took me many years to realize how much love she put into picking out patterns and fabrics to matching the zippers and threads to make each piece perfect. She would call me in from playing outside during the summer to run in the house and to put on a pinned pair pants to be sure they’d were ready to be stitched. This was normal I never got upset that I had to leave my friends for 5 minutes because mom needed me. Today as I am a grandma I wonder what story my children will tell my grandchildren when I’m no longer here. I’m hoping it will be something as special as this. This journal is a tribute to all the wonderful people out there who love sewing as much as my mother did. And want to journal a sewing journey of your own I’ve included so many vintage sewing pieces in this album. I hope you truly love it
