This amazing piece of vintage Indiana Glass Carnival Glass is in great condition with no chips or cracks, a candy dish with a lid, in the 'Harvest Grape' pattern. Carnival glass is molded or pressed glass that has an iridescent sheen applied to the surface. It was extremely popular in the early 20th century, particularly in the 1910s and 1920s. It was often given away as prizes at carnivals, hence the name.
Indiana Glass Company, based in Dunkirk, Indiana, was one of the most prolific manufacturers of carnival glass. Their 'Harvest Grape' pattern, featuring raised grapes and leaves, is one of the most recognizable and sought-after designs.
