William Irish was a pen name for Cornell Woolrich (1903-1968), a best-selling mystery novelist who is often critically rated in the same league as his better-known peers Dashiell Hammett & Raymond Chandler. His books are much harder to find and this 1944 anthology is RARE in any condition. This is a hardback collection containing three complete novels: Phantom Lady, After-Dinner Story, & Deadline at Dawn. It has very little wear! From a private collection and well-cared for. The original dustjacket is in good condition with some minor fraying at the edges. The binding is tight and the pages clean, white, and unmarked. Smoke free home.
