First edition (print number not stated) hardcover copy of Echoes & Etchings of Early Ellis by Kittie Dale (Big Mountain Press, 1964). Signed and inscribed by author on first page. A deeply researched historical look at Ellis, Kansas and its early settlers and prominent people and events in the area. With photographs and illustrations. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges - including chipping, creasing and small tears. Larger tears have tape applied to reverse side. Small stain to top left corner of back cover. Boards are straight and clean but with bumped corners and rubbing around edges. A few instances of mildly split binding though all pages are attached and binding remains firm on the whole. All pages clean and unmarked though mildly tanned. See photos for condition.
