Pack Jack Trail by Addison Talbott Published 1942

This book was published in the early part of the Second World War. "The war we are in as this book is being printed was treacherously begun by our enemies while their envoys pretended to seek means of keeping the peace. We did not wish for war, but now that we are in it, we Americans must give everything that is needed to win victory." (excerpt from back dust jacket). It's a story of two boys accompanied by a kindly and knowledgeable, old prospector taking a trip through the Rockies. During the trip they unearth a plot by foreign agents to sabotage a vital water power project. The price of the book, $2, is still visible on the inside of the dust jacket, which wasn't cheap in 1942.

The dust jacket is not in great shape, but it is included and did a good job of protecting the book. I'm not a book expert, so please see the photos to assess condition. I see no writing, high lighting, underlining nor marks in the book. There are no missing pages, and they all seem well attached.
