This is the first one of these that I have come across. Very cool hammered sterling silver match book holder. These were popular in the late 19th century and early 20th. They would hold a matchbook to help keep it dry and not bend. I can’t say the age for sure on this one. It’s engraved with the initials FBC, and the inside is marked Guatemala with some kind of maker mark design. It has been acid tested to confirm sterling. It weighs 29.79 grams. About 2.25” tall and in great condition. Has a nice snap closure.
