This unique ceramic cookie jar from Los Angeles Potteries, Pasadena, CA., was made in the 1950s. It has raised images of a rooster, sailboat, cow, swan, wheat bundle, and a pink cat...or maybe a lion. Not sure! Stamped on the bottom is Los Angeles Potteries, a copyright symbol with the number 50 next to it, and Made in USA.
This adorable cookie jar belonged to my grandmother and sat in her kitchen during my childhood. I have wonderful memories of getting treats out of this jar. Id love to see it in a kitchen where a new generation of children can too!
Condition: The jar has crazing over the whole surface which is not visible in the pictures. It has 3 chips on the handle, 2 very small, which are visible in the photo of the lid. Other than that it has no damage and is in very good vintage condition.
Measurements: approximately 9" tall and 7 1/2" in diameter.
