Vintage Indian Wooden Crocodile Push Toy. A wonderful hand carved and painted wooden folk toy from Benares (Banaras) India, also known as Varanasi the Holy city on the River Ganges. This is a sweet little push toy in the shape of a crocodile it has beautiful reptilian style markings in green, yellow and black with splashes of peach and brown. He has four hand painted wheels and as he is pushed along his snapping mouth opens and closes. His mechanism is located in his underbelly in the form of a rectangle block type cog wheel. He is in great condition. He measures almost 12” inches tong from nose to tail, almost 3” inches wide and about 2”tall.
