On offer is a very charming 19th century Sicilian terracotta figural trio of townsfolk in period costume. The tableau stands 6.25" in height, 5.15" in width, and has a depth of 2.25". Overall the condition is quite good, however, there are some losses commensurate with age. Although the piece is unsigned, on close inspection of the faces it can be determined that this piece is very typical of the famous and very much sought after Vaccaro family of sculptors from Caltigirone, Sicily. This antique piece of sculptural pottery has so much character it captivates your attention and is assured to make you smile.
