Vintage Bennington Pottery by David Gil terracotta chicken (or rooster?) trivet or plaque.
Has some minor wear, but I think it's in pretty good shape. It seems like it was lightly used or maybe just displayed.
I did not clean it for fear that I would damage it. I rubbed off some scuffs, but that's all.
The number is not the year it was made--it is the design number. I contacted Bennington Pottery and they said that the terracotta was fabricated in the 1970s. This is true vintage handmade in the 1970s!

This is very clean and shows no major flaws. There are still rubber feet on the bottom, so it can be used as a trivet or a plaque. There is a hole for mounting or hanging.
