Navajo Style Muted Earth Tone Turkish Kilim Handmade Wool Rug.
This Kilim rug features a distinct Navajo tribal design. Kilims are flat-woven, pileless textiles known for their vibrant colors and geometric patterns.
This rug is handmade from wool. The flatweave construction means it's reversible and can be used on either side.
The rug features a central, multi-colored medallion with intricate geometric motifs, characteristic of Kilim and tribal designs, along with patterned borders and fringed edges. I love the muted, earthy color palette!
Measures 24.5”x36” or approximately 2 feet by 3 feet.
It’s definitely thicker than a traditional kilim but based on my research I believe it is of Turkish origin and not authentic Navajo.
The piece is in excellent condition and is fully functional as a rug in a kitchen or bathroom or a wall hanging (how I’d been using it).
