A very handsome china cake stand and matching cake server by Georges Briard as part of his holiday collection. "Christmas Tapestry" features a green holly leaf and red berry border rimmed on both sides with a gold checkerboard pattern with four distinct Christmas themed medallions on the outer rim with a larger red candle and holly medallion in the center of the white plate. The white pedestal stand repeats the gold checkerboard and green holly pattern on the top side of the cake plate. The white handled stainless steel cake serve has a Christmas themed drum medallion on the end of the handle and a gold and holly trim at the top of the handle.
The plate measures 10 1/2" across and stands 4 1/2" high. The server is 9 1/4" long with the blade having a maximum width of 2". Both the cake stand and the server are in very good overall vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing noted. It is marked "Christmas Tapestry" on the inside of the pedestal.
