This hand-wrought sterling silver bar brooch features a faceted oval rock crystal (clear quartz) measuring 17×13 mm. The crystal is set in an open-back mounting with four sturdy prongs. Width of brooch is ~2 inches. It closes with a simple C-clasp, typical of earlier styles. The silver tests positive for sterling but is unmarked.
