Bishop Powell & Stonier (PB&S) Antique Melissa Blue Gold Floral Round Covered Serving Bowl c.1878 - 1891, VERY RARE.

Round covered serving bowl dish in what appears to be weighty and well-made porcelain. The top has a swirl pattern with a scalloped edge. Decorated with a Chinoiserie-style hand-painted blue floral pattern with rich gold metallic trim and accents throughout. Handles and knob are all metallic gold. This appears to be hand painted especially the gold trim parts.

11" From handle to handle and about 6" tall from knob to base.

Condition: For a piece that is about 150 years old, this is in remarkable condition with wear consistent to age. There is some gold loss especially to handles, one tiny chip on the inside rim of lid, discoloration to inside of bowl and minor crazing and wear to base.
