Bishop, Powell & Stonier (PB&S) Antique Melissa Blue Gold Floral 14" Oval Serving Platter c.1878 - 1891, VERY RARE.
Oval serving platter in what appears to be weighty and well-made porcelain . Decorated with a Chinoiserie-style hand-painted blue floral pattern with rich gold trim and accents throughout. Appears to be hand painted. Hand wash only.
Not much is known about this pattern but a piece can be found in a London museum. This is indeed rare and to be treasured.
About 14" length X 11.25" width
Condition: For a piece that is about 150 years old, this is in remarkable condition with wear consistent to age. There are some very light utensil marks and I see only one small spot of crazing. There are no cracks, chips or other material damage.
