Vintage Taxco Mexico Sterling 1950s AAB Cuff link Mid-century Modern Aztec Black Onyx Alpaca Swivels
These mid-century cufflinks were made in Taxco Mexico circa 1950s.
The Aztec design has a Modernist look. It’s created with black onyx showing through an overlay between two layers of sterling silver. Crushed blue stone chips accent each cufflink.
The cufflinks measure 7/8″ X 5/8′ X 1/8″ thick with some irregularity between the two in length as seen in photos. One is slightly smaller.
One Cufflink is marked with the silversmith’s hallmark (AAB in a circle that says TAXCO 925 MEXICO) Eagle 3 mark.
The swivels are marked Alpaca (Nickel Silver not sterling) One of the swivels is a little tight but moves as intended.
They have been lightly polished to leave original patina for buyers preference. One of the cufflinks has some slight damage on the backside with chipping of the onyx on the corner as seen in photo, Minor surface wear. Overall in good vintage condition
