J Russell Co Green River Works Carving Set
Antique Sterling and Horn Carving Set Stag Handle 2 Piece.
Carbon steel blade has the Diamond J Russell marking, and shows the patent date on the Knife blade of 1834. The blade was forged and ground thin and light with a double pointed clip point scimitar shape. Fork tines are nice and straight and the guard works well.
Stag handles have a characteristically Russell pattern silver plated ferrules with a bull and deer motif.
Despite it's wear it is still a handsome old set and will perform beautifully.
