This is an antique Nagoya obi.
I purchased it from a shop called "Tomoshibi-ya" for approximately 50,000 yen.
It was made by remaking a formal visiting kimono into an obi.
It features embroidery of a bug cage and decorative cords,
and chrysanthemum flowers are also incorporated.
There is a seam in an unseen area,
but it is a piece that allows you to feel the love for the fabric, utilizing the design.
It was sold as a summer obi,
but it is 9 sun wide and not see-through, so I think it can be used from summer to early autumn.
Overall, there are some sun-fading, scuffs, and stains.
I believe it is within an acceptable range for those accustomed to antiques,
but please refrain from bidding if you are concerned.
