This is a Samue jacket made with "Shijira-ori" cotton fabric, which has a unique textured feel, and is tailored in a checkered pattern.

Samue originated as clothing worn by Zen Buddhist monks during their daily work (samu).

This garment, which is easy to move in and has a calm and composed impression, has spread over time as workwear and loungewear. Nowadays, it is not only used as relaxing wear, but also seen as street wear, travel wear, and even as uniforms for people working in cafes and galleries.

This piece has elastic cuffs for practicality and convenient pockets at the hem. The front closure is designed to be lightly fastened with a haori string.
