Original c.1970s “Rockula / Rock ’n’ Roll Vampire” deluxe Halloween mask.
Grotesque vampire with cat-eye “shades,” Elvis-y sideburns, rooted black hair, and a molded shirt bib & bow tie. The mask is stitched to a quilted black vinyl bat collar with red satin lining—the deluxe import version sold by U.S. costume houses (Collegeville/Halco) in the 1970s. Inside carries an embossed “MADE IN SRI LANKA” mark (see photo).
Size: Adult one-size (fits my display head comfortably). Collar spans wide for display; see photos.
Condition: Very good vintage display condition. Latex is still pliable. Honest age wear: light surface crazing/paint rubs, a few tiny stress lines near the mouth, hair a bit wild, some creasing and minor spotting to the collar/lining from storage. No sticky rot or foul odor. Presents great on a stand. Please examine all photos.
Shipping/packing: Will be padded and boxed to protect the latex and collar; I never ship vintage masks compressed.
