These are from post-war, Japan 1945, at that time, due to the results of the war, many Japanese were displaced and and hustling and trying to feed their family. These paintings on silk were one of the many things these guys did to survive. These are painted on silk. They both have signatures and they look incredible. Even the frame is vintage and original. They often used whatever they could find to make the frame. In this case it was crates. Wasn't really sure, had an appraiser look at them, he priced each one $275 to $350!
Well obviously that wouldn't be much of a bargain and please feel free to send the pictures in and have them looked at. These items both measure 46 in tall 19 in wide. I'm going to make a deal.
