Vintage Department 56 Christmas Father Frost sled pulled by a rabbit. Retired.
The Father Frost pieces were designed after vintage Northern European Belsnickle figures. Sled is wood and the Santa, rabbit and base are a pulp material.
Father frost wears a gold dusted suit and a bag full of glass ornaments and sparkling stars, his sled is connected by a leather-like harness to the leaping white rabbit, the harness is decorated with tiny jingle bells, the entire piece sits on a base of freshly fallen snow.
Dimensions: 14.5 inches long x 7 inches high x 4 inches wide.
Disclaimers: this piece has had minor repairs. No breaks, but pieces have been reglued to platform.
Also, Santa originally held a gold ‘whip’ which has been replaced by a vintage candy cane decoration.
