The base is incised with the classic double-A Van Briggle logo, “Van Briggle Colo. Spgs.”, and the artist’s initials “AS”, identifying decorator Albert Smith, who worked at Van Briggle during the mid-20th century. This helps date the vase to approximately 1955–1975.
