Limited, privately circulated edition (one of only 250 copies printed) leatherbound hardcover copy of A Biographical Sketch of Benjamin Franklin Newcomer by Waldo Newcomer (The Grafton Press, 1902). Inscribed by family member, Marie Hitt Newcomer. Incredibly rare book covering the life and works of the pioneer banker and railroad executive from the 19th century. Leather bound boards with gilt lettering. Gilded page edges and decorative endpapers, the free endpapers now are curling at top and bottom edges. Page on the opposite side of title page (likely a frontispiece portrait) appears to have been removed. Binding is firm and spine is straight. Some very sparse margin notes, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
