Fun Dark Blue Quartz Cluster with matrix from the Indicolite mines in Kunar, Afghanistan!
Material from here mostly have diamond quartz shapes (like a Herkimer Diamond shape), that are mostly doubly terminated as well as some typical shapes. Colors range from a light baby blue/ gray to a deep indigo blue/ grey. Sometimes with phantoms. Some crystals have actual needle-like inclusions of possible Riebeckite, Indicolite and/ or Schorl. This is the absolute best example of the only really dark blue, fully formed quartz material that I have ever seen. The color is from the above said minerals or maybe from the elements of those minerals.
This wonderful light to dark to a bit of black color Blue Quartz cluster is not terminated, but consists of partially terminated crystals. Beautiful luster and quite gemmy and great contrast to its white matrix inclusions. Other minerals also included such as Riebeckite. Looks to be a float
