This is a rare wood sculpture of the Stratford point lighthouse signed by John W. Long dated '04. Dimensions are in Pictures. One long horizontal piece as base. 4 stacked vertically with a clear marble as lighthouse beacon.
"John W. Long has been known as an "artist in wood" since 1972. A self taught artist, having no formal training, John has become one of the only artists in his medium to capture the admiration of the public, collectors, and interior designers.
John's unique "wall sculptures" are made entirely from very old weathered boards from barns. No paint, color or texture has been added to any surface, as only "found" material is used.
John is also an active member of 'The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen" and "The Vermont Handcrafters Inc.""
