The Framed Antique Late 18th Century ( Circa.1798 ) Portrait Color Aquatint on Paper "Augereau", Engraved By Pierre Michel Alix ( France, 1762-1817 ) After Painting By Artist Hilaire Ledru ( France, 1769-1840 ). It Depicts A Portrait of Charles Pierre François Augereau ( France, 1757-1816 ), 1st Duc de Castiglione, who was A French Military Commander and Marshal of the Empire During the French Revolutionary Wars and Napoleonic Wars. He is Shown in His Military Uniform Holding A French Tricolor Flag and A Sabre, Reflecting His Status As A Military Leader. The Aquatint Shows Toning, Discoloration, Old Scraps of Paper Under Glass, and Some Wear on the Frame Consistent with Age, In Good Condition.
