He joined Walt Disney Studios as an assistant scenic artist. At Disney Studios, he was given full control of the backgrounds and colors for Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan and Lady and the Tramp.
He was appointed to do most of the backgrounds. His style is often fantastical and serene, with motifs of trees and forests.
After 15 years in the animation business, Earle returned to painting full-time, and spent the rest of his life doing that. Over the next few decades, he had countless solo exhibitions across the United States and abroad
